da dobrowin: Well it has happened, Jose Mourinho was sacked from the Chelsea hot-seat just SEVEN MONTHS after he won them the coveted Premier League trophy… but many believe it’s the players that should be taking the blame.
da bet nacional: The players that, in Fantasy Premier League terms, have given us little to show for their hefty price tags… so the big question is can last season’s big-hitters step up their game now that their ‘problem’ head coach is gone?
If they do, then there could be some healthy differentials on our hands with relegation-battling Sunderland up next at Stamford Bridge, but Sam Allardyce’s men will be confident of keeping the Blues stars at bay on Saturday.
Yet we will keep clear of Chelsea players for now, as there are also several other interesting games that may offer us a unlikely source of points.
Here are three considerable Fantasy Premier League differentials ahead of Gameweek 17!
Aaron Ramsey
If you do not yet own Mesut Ozil, a very good alternative is Aaron Ramsey (8.1 and selected by just 4%), who is significantly cheaper than his teammate and is on a red-hot streak of form, scoring two and assisting another in his last two matches.
With all the injuries in the squad, Ramsey has been deployed in his preferred central midfield position after being used on the flanks this term, and his displays have greatly improved.
Manchester City are next at the Emirates, but with the Sky Blues conceding eight goals in their past four games, a clean sheet doesn’t seem to be on the cards on Monday and Ramsey could benefit.
Michail Antonio
West Ham have been rather unlucky this term, with star attackers such as Dimitri Payet, Diafra Sakho, and more recently Manuel Lanzini all picking injuries.
But their loss has been a gain for Michail Antonio (5.2 and selected by 0%!), who has looked lively now that he has been given the chance to impress following the aforementioned injuries.
Antonio scored 14 and assisted 14 in the Championship last term, and with relegation-battlers Aston Villa and Swansea next for the Hammers, he could grab his first Premier Leauge attacking points in the next few weeks.
Salomon Rondon
After playing six games against teams in the top 10, West Brom’s schedule have now become much kinder with Bournemouth (Home), Swansea (Away), Newcastle (Home), and Stoke (Home) up next… and while many managers already have a Baggies defender (or goalkeeper), not many have considered Salomon Rondon (6.6 and owned by just 0.5%) as a decent third striker.
The Ecuadorian is still finding his feet for Baggies in his first Premier League season, but is their main attacking threat with three goals and two assists in the current campaign. He bagged an important assist against Liverpool last weekend, and could end his five-game goalless drought in the next few fixtures.
