Hirving "Chucky" Lozano and Henry Martín are back with the Mexican national team after missing several recent key call-ups. Head coach Javier Aguirre announced a 35-man preliminary squad for upcoming friendlies against Switzerland and Turkey, scheduled for June 7 and 10, respectively.
Lozano is enjoying a strong run of form with San Diego FC. In just 12 matches under coach Mikey Varas, the Mexican winger has tallied five goals and four assists, playing a key role in the club's impressive start to the season.
Thanks to Lozano’s performances, San Diego sit second in the Western Conference with 27 points, positioning themselves as one of the top contenders in their expansion campaign.
One of the most notable names on the list is veteran goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who is battling relegation in Portugal. Despite his club struggles, Ochoa is still eyeing a record-tying sixth World Cup appearance, joining the elite company of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The squad, revealed by the Mexican Football Federation (FMF), includes four players from Club América. Their participation depends on the result of the that team's May 31 playoff match against LAFC for a spot in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Players from Cruz Azul, finalists in the CONCACAF Champions Cup, will also join later.

Mexico will look to defend the Gold Cup crown it claimed in 2023. El Tri remains the most successful team in the tournament’s history, having lifted the trophy nine times since the competition was rebranded as the Gold Cup in 1991.
Before that, from 1963 to 1989, the tournament was known as the CONCACAF Championship, during which Mexico secured three additional titles. In total, that gives El Tri a record 12 regional championships, making them the undisputed kings of CONCACAF.
