Since Liverpool won the Premier League title, Arne Slot's side have failed to beat Chelsea, Arsenal, and Brighton and have fielded more second-string players in the process. Manchester United legend Keane has accused the Reds of "switching off", while directing his ire at Salah for getting out a phone and doing a selfie celebration during their title-clinching win over Tottenham last month.

He said on the Stick to Football podcast brought to you by : "Liverpool have switched off – they're irritating me. It doesn't matter [that they've won the league], but the fringe players and the B team are coming in – what kind of message is that? I'm thinking, come on – show a bit of class. Salah scores a goal, and he's taking pictures – the game's still on. Liven up a little bit!"
THE BIGGER PICTURE
While Liverpool's ultimate goal of winning the Premier League has been done with relative ease and style, they are ending the season with a bit of a whimper. Slot will hope for a reaction from his side, perhaps to keep critics like Keane at bay, on the final weekend of the season.
